PB Global’s Digger recently featured in an ITV News segment titled “A look at the months of work behind Cheltenham Festival,” offering a behind the scenes glimpse into the scale and complexity of delivering one of the UK’s most iconic sporting events.

The feature highlights the extraordinary level of planning, coordination and on-site expertise required in the months leading up to the Festival. From early groundwork through to final delivery, the project brings together hundreds of moving parts, all working to a fixed and immovable deadline.

For Cheltenham Festival 2026, PB Global played a central role in bringing the event to life. Over a six month build programme, the team worked alongside 146 contractors while managing the North Entrance Site Office. During this time, more than 1500 inductions were carried out and over 1700 vehicle movements were coordinated, reflecting the sheer scale of activity on site.

In addition, the team oversaw hospitality furniture management with more than 25000 variations, ensuring every space was delivered to specification. As race week approached, PB Global’s Help Desk team became a vital hub of activity, starting two days before the event and handling an average of two calls per minute in support of Jockey Club Catering. This included coordination with the night shift fork lift team, who managed an unprecedented volume of food and beverage deliveries.

This level of commitment and delivery has not gone unnoticed. PB Global were proud to receive the Appreciation Award for Site Management, recognising the dedication, precision and teamwork required to deliver Cheltenham Festival at this scale.

The ITV News feature captures just a snapshot of the work involved, but behind every moment is a team committed to excellence and detail. PB Global continues to set the standard for large scale event delivery, ensuring that every element comes together seamlessly when it matters most.
